Abstract

In 1916 Einstein proposed a theory of gravity now known as general relativity. this theory provides much of our current understanding of some of the most unusual objects and events in our astrophysical universe, such as stellar collapse, black holes, neutron stars, quasars, gravitational radiation, and cosmology.
