Abstract
Computations of head-on collisions between two equal-mass black holes are performed by constructing numerical solutions to the Einstein equations. The gravitational waves generated from the dynamics are extracted from the time-dependent metric and these give pulse profiles that should be measured by gravitational wave detectors.
